LAKE BOGORIA, Kenya, Jan. 15 (UPI) — A British-led Earthwatch-supported study at Lake Bogoria, Kenya, has found thousands of lesser flamingos are suffering from malnutrition.

Dr. David Harper of the University of Leicester reports that food stress, following heavy rains, may contribute to recent massive die-offs of the lesser flamingo population.
